    Description: Greetings

Audio Gallery is a talking picture dictionary. First select a topic, such as "Living Room" or "Weather." A picture is displayed and the user sees numbered items - such as television, radio, sofa, wall, window, etc. When the user clicks on the number, the corresponding
sound plays and displays. In the Russian version, the user would hear "telvisor" and see text displayed- "телевизор" as well as English "television".

No translation is necessary, all translations are done (although there may be a few mistakes!)

The fonts are not Unicode. The Japanese characters, for example, are stored in regular 256-character fonts. The Japanese "words" are keyed to characters in the font. For example, "AQ" in the chapter one textfile would display the two Japanese characters stored in the Japanese font for chapter 1, at "A" and "Q". If it is possible to get some of these to display, it is enough, because there are alternate and complex routines to display the correct characters. Any characters from the correct font is good.

The sound files are "conglomerated". That is, for each topic, the sounds are loaded all at once, in one big file (to save download time). In Flash, it is now possible to play a portion of a sound, such as the interval between 34987 samples and 39850, for example. There is a small .txt file accompanying each picture which is read to get sound intervals and the locations of the clickable numbered items. (1,2,3,...).

Please download the sample (done a long time ago in Delphi), it will be a lot easier than me trying to explain it.

Ask me if you need more details.

Delphi code is available, if that will help. The part to display Korean and Japanese fonts is complex, but transcription of these algorithms is not necessary, just to be able to see any Japanese characters from any of the the included fonts.

    Thanks for your consideration.
Additional Info (Added 5/12/2008 at 23:20 EST)...

Don't need CSS and MySQL, just Flash (can't edit it after it's posted)
