I`ll try and explain as best I can, i`m not technically minded so bear with me…
This is the current system I use, I just want to update it and put a few tweaks in..
On Startup the machine askes for location number (operater No.) e.g 0002
Then date e.g 030307
Then Department code. , these codes are preset in the machine, I use different codes as required, the current list of codes is 69 different departments.. Each code is a different department so 27 is ice cream, 23 sweet & Crisp etc.
So I enter code 27, The machine highlights ice cream and askes to confirm this Y/N
I enter Y
Machine then shows “enter price” e.g .99 (enter)
Machine then shows “enter quanity” e.g 10 (enter)
Then enter price,enter quanity and so on, entering data
As I come across different departments, I change into them, so I finish ice cream I hit dept button on the machine and enter 23 – sweets and continue on entering price by quanity in sweets. Basically I can enter price by quanity in any department I require, so if I come across more ice cream I go back into that department and work away..
I Need the ability to create departments and change vat rates as required(see final page attachment)
I finish my work,attach machine to printer and hit the “end” button
The machine askes “print lines Y/N
I hit Y and the machine starts printing pages line by line(see line by line attachment) of all the data I have entered, At the top of the page is states which department and then a line by line break down and a total figure in that department.And Then moves on to the next department and does the same for all the departments I have used.
Machine finishs printing the line by line entries in each department and askes me if I want to print the final page I hit Y and it prints the final page.(see final page attachment)
On this page you have code number, then department name, total amount in that department, then vat rate in that department then stock value (this is the figure ex.vat) then mar%, this is actually named wrong it should say ratio, this % figure is actually telling you what % of stock is in what , in the attachment you can see that 21.50% of the stock is in cigarettes.
At the bottom of the page is the total of all departments with vat and ex.vat
Machine finishs printing this and then asks do I want to reprint the report, I hit N
Machine askes clear all Memory and I hit Y
Machine clears all figures from its memory and then asks do I want to edit any departments or vat rate.. I hit Y if I want change or create any departments or N if I am done
Machine is now cleared and goes back to enter location number
I have looked at various machines and the symbol mc1000 looks like the one for me..
I`ll need the program wrote for this and be able to connect it directly to printer (not pc)
I`ll need to be able to edit departments,create departments, edit vat rates etc.. If this has to be done on the pc that's ok.
I`d Like to be able to have preset persons details I am working on and have that printed on the bottom of the final page.
