Description:	Hello. We are in the process of creating a C#.NET, ASP.NET 2.0, website in Visual Studio 2005 which will utilize a database in SQL Server 2005. This site will be a vegetarian women's interest site containing vegetarian recipes, blog entries, ad rotators, a paypal donation button on master pages, a site map and a database search function. We want to prioritize security and SEO from the beginning in the database and the website. The database for this vegetarian women's website will be password protected to prevent editing by outside parties. The accounts will allow specific persons to enter and/or delete data from the database. However, guests to the website will be able to search the database for recipes based on keywords in the search function (read not write). Measures need to be taken to discourage hacking and database compromise as well as scraping and other forms of content theft. Also, prevention of spam entering the database is highly important. There will be a data entry form for vegetarian recipes (we'll do this aspx page you'll work on the aspx.cs and other code to make the page work) that will require username and password to submit data to the database. The person who entered the data will be recorded in the database We will have a recipe of the day page on the site. We need software to automatically choose a recipe of the day (that has not been chosen before) from the database and record the date when the recipe was chosen. The recipe of the day code will update at 3am US Eastern time. There will also be an option where we can choose the following day's recipe of the day instead of the automatically chosen one. The recipe search function will look for keywords in the individual recipes ingredient list and recipe type (appetizer, side dish, main dish etc). There will also be specified keywords column(s) for each recipe that can be searched. It will also be possible to search for a recipe by the date it was recipe of the day or recipes that have not been recipes of the day. The site search will look for keywords throughout the aspx and master pages. We need AdRotation software on the existing 3 master pages AND instructions on how to apply the code to other master pages that will be created in future. The masterpages have existing navigation links using image buttons and hyperlinks. These must all still work when your code is applied. Other preexisting code on the site must also work (submit a recipe form sent to an email address). The ads will be in the following formats (we need 1 of each) 1. a skyscraper 2. header 3. small square or rectangle 4. text ad rotator We are currently using advertisements that create revenue when the user clicks through or clicks through and buys something. Please note that we expect all buttons and links as well as preexisting code on the masterpages and aspx pages to work when your code is applied. Since we will be maintaining the site, we will need instructions on how to change the ads and how to apply the code to future master pages. We wish to keep track of the number of impressions of each ad. We also want to track the click through rate for individual ads. Our site will use the colors and sections we specify and the database name, tables and column names we specify. Different sections will be similar in appearance to maintain continuity throughout the site. The website will also be done in a way that is updateable to include other features and sections that have yet to be created. Search Engine Optimization. We've been reading several books about this and we like Darie and Sirovich's book titled “Professional Search Engine Optimization with ASP.NET”. Admittedly, we don't understand everything in the book (which is why this project is being posted) but we are serious about an SEO friendly site. A few notable points: We want White Hat SEO only. We also want to be towards the top on the first page. Organization of the sections will be SEO friendly. If we ask for something that is not SEO friendly, tell us. We will modify to be SEO friendly. We don't care if the advertisements are SEO friendly or not. We care about the content we are writing. What we write needs to be SEO friendly. We are currently renting server space for our site and database making ISAPI filter use impossible. Please design the site in a way that a filter can be used at a later date. We need a site map for our site and database. The site map(s) must be compatible with submission standards for Google, Yahoo and MSN. Since we will be doing maintenance ourselves we need instructions on how to update the site map(s) on a daily basis. Simply put, we like idiot proofing. The code for this site must be compatible with Internet explorer, firefox, opera, mozilla suite, safari, netscape and AOL browsers. Successful bidders must have reviews for us to look at prior to our choice. We also want to see SPECIFIC examples of your work as relates to this project. If you cannot do all aspects of this project, please do not bid. Thank you for your time.
