Creative Writing:
This project is to populate a message board with posts. The main topic of the message board is Philosophy. Posting can also include the topics of: Psychoanalysis, Translation, Art (Painting, sculpture), Music (classical and modern), Religion (Athiesm..Occult, Spiritualty) and Literature.
In order to create meaningful posts, the writer must do some research on these topics. The posts should be a mixture of technical writing about commonly debated topics and various readings of specific authors, and casual social interaction between members of the message board.
Your job is not only to start new topics and then reply to them, but also to create the user accounts. Each user account should have a unique personality that is consistent throughout all of their posts. The members will be an equal mix of male of female. Members should also interact, flirt, and debate with one another. The purpose of this is to simulate as realistic of an atmosphere as possible while introducing a dramatic element to the message board. Pictures (attractive) and introduction posts are also welcomed, as well as (few) posts linking to relevent websites.
Specifics: You should create posts about the following philosophers in a positive way: Nietzsche, Derrida, Heidegger, Kant, Hume, Hegel, Plato, Aristotle, Bacon, Foucault, Marx, Socrates, Schopenhauer. You should also occasionally mention which book or work your describing and any other relevent information.
Authors to mention and reference: Shakespeare, Milton, Jung, Freud, Poe, Eco, Homer, Dante, Voltaire, Goethe, Emerson, Thoreau, Dostoevsky, Tolstoy (anyone from the Bible)
Musicians to mention: Tool, A Perfect Circle, Nine Inch Nails/Trent Reznor, Mozart, Bach, Beethoven
Authors or people to be posted on in a negative way: Jean Paul Sarte, William Wordsworth, Samuel Taylor Coleridge, Ellie Weisel
Notes:
Posts should be PASSIONATE. People are writing about their strong beliefs, and what ideas are important to them. Avatars should be made for some members (small picture to be put by their name..which can even be pictures of themselves)
All posts should be written in perfect English with possible interjections of French, Greek, German and Italian when necessary. Include some pictures in the posts to make them interesting. For example "I photographed this travelling..." etc.
An easy way to get ideas are look at other philosophy message boards.... also search some of the people listed here on wikipedia.... and use google.
There should be about 500 topics created with an average of 9 replies or so to each thread. That makes a total of 5,000 posts. The amount of members should be about 200. (average of 25 posts per user account)
