I thought I was saving money by buying a PHP script on eBay for a Classified Ads Section on my website. The script was provided, but I quickly realized I don't have the knowledge to build a MySQL database, so I paid the seller $10 additional to install it.
Unfortunately that's where the help ended. The seller said: "The script was properly installed and it was working, if you want to customise the script that is up to you, I do not do any special customisation. The script was installed and it comes just like the one you saw on the website, you have a copy of the script and a copy of the instructions. At this point I can not answer any more questions since the script was intalled, you paid for the installation and not for any SPECIAL CUSTOMISATION. I will not answer any more email. Please read the instructions!"
So the database is installed and I have all the instructions but I can't get the page to open as it should. I think there should be a more complete start up page. There are embedded instructions, but I can't tell which of those instructions have already been completed.
I've already spent a couple of long days updating the categories and the sub-categories. I need someone, using the script with files that I bought, to make it work.
I'll provide the ebay item listing, the demo site, the scripts I received, the communication, and the passwords.
For the right person, this will be a 10 minute job.
The Registration java won't work and the start-up page doesn't display the advertising catgegories. Instead all I get is the site header image and non-working registration links. The categories and the sub-categories don't display.
I'll forward the zipped script file (which I paid for), and the passwords.
Remember this is a FREE area, so I can't afford to spend much. I'm already way over budget.
