At first, she had no problem with communicating via e-mail. I even paid her upfront for work that was not completed yet because her first submission was quality. However, as the days went on she would not respond to any status checks. A week or so later she responded that she had been involved in a car accident. I told her I understood completely. She then sent a follow up email claiming she could complete the project by a certain time. The time came and went and I have not heard from her.
